This privacy policy explains how we handle your data. ## Data Collection **We do NOT collect any personal data.** - All text snippets you save are stored **locally on your device** using Chrome's storage API - We do not have access to your saved snippets - We do not track your browsing activity - We do not use analytics or tracking tools ## Google Drive Sync (Optional Feature) If you choose to enable Google Drive sync: - Your snippets are stored in **your own Google Drive account** in a private app folder - We use the `drive.appdata` scope, which means the data is only accessible by this extension - We do NOT have access to your Google Drive files or your synced snippets - You can disable sync at any time by signing out ## Permissions Explained | Permission | Why We Need It | |------------|----------------| | Storage | To save your snippets locally | | Context Menus | For right-click "Save to Easy Copy Paste Text" option | | Active Tab | To capture selected text from the current page | | Clipboard | To copy snippets to your clipboard | | Identity | For optional Google Sign-In (Drive sync) | ## Data Sharing **We do NOT share any data with third parties.** - Your snippets never leave your device (unless you enable Drive sync to YOUR account) - We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to anyone ## Data Security - All data is stored using Chrome's secure storage API - Google Drive sync uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication - We do not transmit data to any external servers ## Your Rights You can: - Delete any or all saved snippets at any time - Export your data using the built-in Export feature - Sign out of Google Drive sync to stop cloud backup - Uninstall the extension to remove all local data ## Children's Privacy This extension does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. ## Changes to This Policy We may update this privacy policy from time to time.
